Shanna is an educator and practitioner of wholistic health. With a Masters in Education and a Polarity therapy practitioner and educator certification, she has been part of the field of education and wellness for the past 20 years. Her experience ranges from classrooms to consulting.

For more than 15 years, she has taught courses in integrative health and wellness, women’s psychology and cross cultural healing at the university level in Santa Fe and Espanola, New Mexico. Shanna has directed Polarity therapy certification programs and offered continuing education courses at both the New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts and Santa Fe School of Massage.

Shanna believes that all healing happens within the context of sacred relationship: our relationship to ourselves, our loved ones, our purpose, our call to wholeness, and our place within the earth and her cosmos.

“Like the dance of a stream, a life meanders and curves and finds it way over rough rocks and dry beds... converging into a greater story of self and love. I grew up playing in the creek snuggled securely into the expanse of my backyard. She was my first guide and wisdom teacher. Schooled by the waters, a life devoted to exploration and learning felt like the way for me. So, I landed on the archetype of Teacher to first lead the way. After classrooms filled with middle schoolers and stints of educational consulting ran its course, transition came once more. Led now by the archetype of Seeker and Seer, I found my way into the rich territory of the healing arts. It is here within this vast healing landscape that I’ve remained. It continues to shape me. Even now, I pursue my studies in the field of medicine; training in hospice nursing. Transformation and exploration infuse my life and my work.

I believe that connection-based approaches to healing honor life’s transitions and the soul-work that is required. To meet these “doorway” moments beckons within us and those around us courage and creativity. The demands of our outer lives and inner lives call forth mutuality and our capacity to live in relationship. How do we align with the symbiotic dance of life more fully?”
